Hi, receive a warmful greetings from Mexico.

I just read the desire of England to get the FIFA World Cup in 2018 and I heard many time the song “Three Lions” by The Lighting Seeds and I think that will be a great idea to use the song like a support chant to obtain the right to celebrate the event…

    “It is in home…
    It is in home
    Really…
The World Cup is in home”

Thanks for your time and good luck

    “Three Lions on the shirt
The spirit of `66 still living..

    Hi,

I’m a producer from BBC Radio Five Live.

On the Rachel Burden Programme this Sunday: 28.10.2007 we are doing an item on England’s 2018 bid.

I see that you have received a lot of positive response to your petition for the bid, and was wondering would someone be available to come on our programme about what England should win the bid. The interview would be live with Rachel Burden at 11:30am on Sunday morning.

Please can you contact me via return if this email or call me on 0208 624 9509

I am sure like me Millions of Indians wish England to host the 2018 football extravaganza……….I extend my solidarity to this great event.

  8. shawn

As a england supporter this would be great to have the world cup back to the birth place of football.

    Hi,

Let’s hope the beautiful game comes to England in 2018. It has to be Plymouth to host it. Bring it to Devon, Let people see the best of the country. The support would be spectacular.

I would appreciate an anwer just received an email stating I had won in your bid- and it gave your website- Is this legitimate?
a monetary prize and trip to the 2010 south afriaca world cup- a response woould be greatly appreciated. as there has been multiple scams very similarly written over here in the use please let me know

  11. admin

This is a hoax, the email is not legitimate. As you had guessed it must be a scam, we are not associated with any competition or prizes to South Africa for 2010.

    NO TO MK!

Please ensure Milton Keynes is not selected as a World Cup venue. The plastic football club and stadium there represent the darkest moment in English footballing history; the franchising of a football club.

  13. The Outsider (LTFC)

As a football fan, I believe that any possible involvement of the TOWN (IT IS NOT A CITY !!!!!) of Milton Keynes in a bid should not even be considered. That club has no right to exist. Like virtually every sports organisation in that TOWN, it was stolen from elsewhere. The only reason that they want to be part of the bid is so that they can get their stadium finished. They have tried every other means of raising the finance and failed. If they were to be successful, the locals would have a shock – they don’t understand the concept of actually paying full price to get into a game – they are so used to free or cheap tickets that they wouldn’t understand when proper prices are charged.

The other thing is that, based on my understanding of their finances, the chances are that they will not still exist in eight years time.

The bid for the 2018 world cup is worthy but I thought the global authorities required Britain as a nation to closedown entirely by the year 2017 at the latest, current allowance is in the period 2011 to 2013.
After some years of laying fallow, the repopulated landmass of Britain, if that occurs at all, would not want to be imposed on by a bidding process from 2009 and earlier. The people of Britain have not been told of any change to the mandatory requirement which we have been informed about during the last 30 years.

    In two days the
“Let SOUTHAMPTON bid to be a host city for the 2018 World Cup” group has gained a reasonable 150 members, Show your support for a host city on the south coast by joining please. The FA has to let the city bid

  16. Steven Dormer

Log onto Skyscraper City and lots of people want Brighton included. Know Portsmouth have pulled out theres no south coast city involved. Fifa want as much of an even spread of cities as possible. Brighton would seriously woo the judges. Seafront city lots of interesting sights. The pier and the Royal Pavillion would be good for the tourists. The hotels like The Metropole and The Grand would enhance the chances. Temporary seating could be added to the new Brighton Stadium to bring it up to capacity. Dont ruin the chance of getting the world cup by beuracratic nosense play hard or face losing to another country.

  17. James

Very disappointed that MK was chosen. Shame on the likes of Brooking & co advocating the franchising of football clubs. the FA care F.A for the genuine fans of the game. NEVER FORGIVE. NEVER FORGET.

  18. Michael Dean-Jackson

Dear Sir, I live in South Africa and have just received an sms on my mobile phone informing me that I have won GBP 910,000.00 as part of the 2018 world cup uk bid. I am naturally sceptical…is this a hoax or what? A telephone number of +447624177899 is given in the sms.
    Yours sincerely
    Michael Dean-Jackson.

  19. admin

Michael Dean-Jackson, clearly it is a hoax.
