Football Freestyler backs Milton Keynes as host city
Keepy uppy world record breaker Dan Magness has backed the bid for Milton Keynes to become a 2018 World Cup host city.
Dan smashed the Guinness World Record and received worldwide fame earlier this year after keeping a ball in the air for an amazing 24 hours, with more than 250,000 touches! The 26-year-old, who lives in Milton Keynes, is the country’s top football freestyler and has performed hundreds of half-time shows for premier league clubs and MK Dons, as well as England U21 and England Women’s games. He’s also taught his football freestyle tricks to the country’s star players including Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard, and has entertained celebrities at star-studded parties.

Dan said: “I think that Milton Keynes would be a brilliant host city as stadiummk is superb, and local citizens would have the chance to watch world class football right on their doorstep.”
Dan, who is a FA trained football coach, works regularly with the youth service, local councils, churches and youth groups, and believes bringing the world cup to MK would be beneficial to everyone.
“I’m sure that it would introduce more young people to football as well as encourage families to get fitter. There would be a brilliant atmosphere in the city if we do get to be a host city, and it would be something we would remember and talk about for years afterwards.”
Dan was signed to Wimbledon FC as a teenager and played until he was 16 when he decided to concentrate full-time on his football tricks.
