2018 World Cup Matches in Hull?
It is a 25,404 capacity all seater stadium and features a single tier asymmetrical bowl which holds 20,000 spectators and a second tier on the West stand which holds 5,000. There are plans for a second tier on the East stand which would bring the capacity up to 30,000. The football league named the venue as the ‘best ground’ at the 2006 football league awards.
It may be deemed too small in capacity to host matches at World Cup 2018 with nearby Elland Road and Hillsborough boasting 40,000 capacities. But what this stadium lacks in size it makes up for in stature. A truly modern masterpiece of a stadium and one of the more impressive in the modern game.

Even though I attend the KC every other week for the football, i would have to say no to a World Cup match at the KC in 2018. However, if Mr. Duffen (Hull City Chairman) gets his check book out, and puts an extra 7,000 on the East Stand, I think i’d approve of the

Yes if Mr Duffen expands it and they is a train station built next to it. Hull Concil should pay the money to build a train line and expand the stadium because the money from all the world cup fans would really benefit Hull.
What’s the thoughts on Hull City attracting 40,000 if they stay in the EPL for 5 years?
I think 2018 stadiums are going to need to be 40,000 to justify inclusion.
Be great for the area.
I think Hull would be a great venue for the World cup, huge catchment area passionate fans who should be given the opportunity to participate in this festival of football, instead of the usual position where all big events go the larger cities in particular the Metroplois.
