Neil Kinnock supporting Milton Keynes 2018 bid

Lord Neil Kinnock believes that Milton Keynes would be an ideal location to host matches during the FIFA 2018 World Cup.

He said: “Milton Keynes is a young and vibrant city where individuals, organisations and politicians of all parties work together to make things happen. I’m sure that it would be a very good host city, particularly because of its excellent communication links and central location in the heart of the country.”

Bid consortium chair Dr Ann Limb met with Baron Kinnock of Bedwellty to discuss the city’s aim of hosting world cup matches, which would involve welcoming visitors from all round the world.

She said: “Our goal is to put Milton Keynes on the global map through taking part in this highly prestigious sporting event. We are delighted to be receiving so much support from individuals from all walks of life – including such a senior statesman.”
