Prime Minister Backs England 2018 Bid at Wembley

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown appeared at Wembley Stadium on Monday as part of the the launch of England’s bid for the 2018/2022 World Cup Finals.

It was part of the cross party support shown for the tournament being hosted in the country, these videos show David Cameron and Nicolas Clegg giving their support.

Gordon Brown appeared on the Wembley pitch with young fans wearing blue and red “England United” t-shirts with the slogans “Back the Bid” and “World Invited ” on the front and he was flanked by David Beckham and Wayne Rooney who wore suits and held England 2018 scarves.

Brown also appeared on the stage in the Bobby Moore room and gave a speech to help launch the event and aid the 2018 World Cup bid.
